“Thank you for your few days in Korea…until next time,” says an impressed Hollan.

Elling Holland is grateful for his fond memories of Korea and looks forward to returning to Seoul.

Holland, a monster striker for European champions Manchester City (England), caught the eye of Korean fans in a friendly match against Atletico Madrid (Spain) at Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sept. 30, starting as a frontline striker in a 3-2-4-1 formation and playing 55 minutes, including 10 minutes in the second half.

Holland is a frontline striker who joined City for the 2022/23 season and scored 36 goals in 35 Premier League games in his first season with the club. He was an integral part of City’s European treble (UEFA Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup). In addition to being the Premier League’s top scorer, he also won the Young Player of the Year award and the season’s MVP.

However, in the final match of the pre-season Asia tour, Holland failed to score against the opposition’s center backs, including Chalar Soyunjoo and Axel Witsel. On this day, he was often isolated in the middle of the defense.

Holland left the field in the 10th minute of the second half as Guardiola made a number of changes. He then delighted the Korean soccer fans with a fantastic fan service from the bench: he circled the pitch, greeted the fans, took off his top, and then threw his jersey to them with a huge smile on his face. The soccer fans responded with wild cheers.

As the game kicked off 45 minutes late due to heavy rain, City skipped the press conference altogether and boarded a bus to Incheon Airport to catch a chartered flight. 메이저사이트

On the bus, Holland reminisced about his time in Korea and expressed his gratitude.

He posted a photo of himself waving to fans on social media, writing, “Thank you for a memorable few days,” followed by the English acronym KR for Korea on social media, and adding a double wave and a finger heart emoji, saying, “Until next time.”

During his three-day visit, Holland received the ultimate athlete’s treatment, not only playing against Atletico Madrid, but also posting photos of himself and BlackPink’s Jisoo in City jerseys on social media, and being interviewed by broadcaster Uhm Ji Yoon, who nicknamed him “Uhm Land” (Uhm Ji Yoon + Holland) because of his physical resemblance.

On the day of his arrival, a large number of fans gathered at Incheon Airport to cheer for Holland.

In gratitude, he posted a farewell message on social media and expressed his desire to come back. During his time with Salzburg in Austria, Holland played alongside South Korean international Hwang Hee-chan in the attacking lineup. He still maintains a close relationship with the South Korean international.
